Another Dubai Intersec Exhibition, one of the largest security exhibitions in the world, took place between 15 – 20 January 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, UAE. Intersec attracted visitors from all over the globe, and saw the participation of many international companies, including ® Systems Ltd of Cyprus.

Once again the interest for ® and our unique and patented product range of Fire Extinguishing Aerosol Systems was overwhelming. With a product range conforming to the most number of international certifications, listings, and undergoing vigorous testing than any other product in the fire fighting industry, it is of no surprise that more and more people know about the ® name. ® is going from strength to strength, leading the way to innovation and technology in fire fighting all around the world.

® Systems Ltd participated in the International Firex 2009 that took place in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) of Birmingham during the period of 11-14 May 2009.

The participation was a shear success. Not only the ® range of products was promoted to a vast number of visitors, thus enhancing the awareness of the public at large, but also a lot of decision makers in the Fire-fighting industry visited our booth, expressing their interest to know more about our the ® Condensed Aerosol fire fighting technology.

In our exquisite stand, designed and built for the Firex Expo we had the chance to advise visitors about the competitive advantages of our Aerosol Generators over competition for a tremendous range of applications. A lot of new contacts and business leads were made. Despite the on-going economic downturn in UK and the rest of the World, there is a consensus that ® brand is gaining steam and momentum and the future looks good in terms of sales volumes generated.

During the Expo, the official award to FirePro® Systems Ltd by the British Standards Institute (BSI) of the Kitemark Licence took place on Tuesday 12th May in the morning. Another certificate has been added to our vast and growing list of Listings, Licences and Approvals.

The Kitemark® is the world's premier symbol of trust, integrity and quality. Manufacturers having this associated with their product or service will reassure customers and specifiers alike that they have satisfied the most rigorous of quality processes.
All FirePro® models are now certified under the BSI Kitemark certification scheme and will bear the Kitemark logo.

We are proud to announce that FirePro obtained another prestigious listing: this time under the Active Fire Protection-Equipment Listing Scheme of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation of Australia (CSIRO).  The CSIRO – ActivFire official site can be found at http://www.activfire.gov.au

As per ActivFire Listing Number afp-2286 the FirePro, FP series aerosol fire extinguishing system has been evaluated and verified as conforming with the relevant requirements of the following criteria:

1. Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4487:1997, ‘Pyrogen fire extinguishing aerosol systems’.
2. Australian Standard AS1851-2005, ‘Maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment’ including Amendment 1 (26 July 2006).
3. CEN prCEN/TR 15276-1, ‘Fixed fire fighting systems – Condensed aerosol extinguishing systems – Part 1: Requirements and test methods for components (001191148).
4. CEN prCEN/TR 15276-2, ‘Fixed fire fighting systems – Condensed aerosol extinguishing systems – Part 2: Design, installation and maintenance (001191149).
5. Underwriters Laboratories Standard UL 2127 1st Edition, ‘Standard for inert Gas Clean Agent Extinguishing System Units’.

We would like to thank all those who helped in achieving this precious listing and reiterate our aim to demonstrate to the world the, beyond comparison, excellence of the FirePro line of products for their intended use.

Intersec is the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind in the world outside Europe. The Intersec 2009, the second largest security fair in the world, took place on 18 – 20 January, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, United Arab Emirates. The three-day event recorded trade visitors not only from the Middle East but from all over the world with an attendance of over 17.000 visitors.

® Systems Ltd, with its purpose designed stand, successfully participated in the event! Lots of people from different segments of the Fire Industry visited our stand and expressed their interest in the ® Systems patented Condensed Aerosol Technology, the ® Systems range of products. Most people already knew our technology and products which goes to show that market awareness of our leading brand has been achieved to a great extend. It is expected that a substantial business volume will be materialized as a result of the contacts made during the fair.

Our profound commitment here at ® Systems Ltd to a cleaner and therefore safer environment is now further attested to by the DNV award of the ISO 14001:2004 certificate. This certificate covers activities from design to manufacturing and from selling to installing of the ® Fire Extinguishing Aerosol Systems.

On 4th of November 2008 we presented the “Fire prevention in Electrical Panel” in the Med Power 2008 the 6th Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition on power generation, transmission , distribution and energy conversion which took place in the Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki Greece from 02/11/2008 till 05/11/2008. The event attracted interest from all over the world, with speakers from universities and big organisations from USA and Europe.

® Systems Ltd participated with its attractively designed stand at the CHINA FIRE 2008 Exhibition in Beijing, October 28 –31. As was expected a great number of visitors came to our stand reflecting the interest shown in the Far East regarding the type of fire extinguishing systems of which ® is the leading brand.

The event took place from 27th of August till 29th of August 2008 with participants and visitors from all over the world. During the three days participations on our especially stand design, we attracted the interest of many visitors which gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our technology. The event left us a great number of contacts to follow.

The tested electronics were exposed to the action of the FirePro Condensed Aerosol Fire Extinguishing Agent and subsequently, underwent temperature/humidity variation cycles to verify whether the FirePro aerosol condensed particulates not removed from the electronic objects may cause corrosion and/or affect the proper functioning of electronics. The temperature/humidity cycles were executed in accordance with procedure IEC 60068-2-30 variant 2, upper temperature +55oC, 6 cycles, 95% humidity. More info...

Our especially design stand was the attraction of a groups of professionals, who were interested to learn our unique technology.
Overall the event was another one success to our efforts of the product awareness to the region and worldwide..

FirePro Systems Ltd in March held its Worldwide Distributors’ Convention in Limassol Cyprus. Distributors from around the world gathered for this ‘family’ get together where there was exchange of information on experiences, projects undertaken and new product launches.

FirePro Systems Ltd and Kentec Electornics Ltd UK, have entered into a private agreement whereby Kentec will manufacture and supply a bespoke private ® labeled fire extinguishing panel certified to BS EN 12094-1: 2003. This panel is capable of being connected to our own ® Sequential Activators which in turn can activate an impressive number of generators.

® units installed inside a UPS unit in which there was initiation of a potentially disastrous fire. This was averted by the timely detection and activation of the installed FP 100 units that efficiently and effectively extinguished the fire and prevented its spread.

The stand E31 was the attraction of many people, who were interested to learn more about our technology. Among the visitors were new and old co-operators and a lot of friends and supporters of ®.
We are pleased with the whole outcome of the event.

Spearheading the Technological Advance
A very productive and fruitful participation of FirePro Systems Ltd in the IFE 2007, adding - yet another - successful event in the calendar of the leading international supplier of Fire Extinguishing Aerosol products. Our Stand H61 at Hall 8 attracted visitors from all sections of the fire fighting industry, providers and clients alike. These visitors had the opportunity to interact and get familiar with the operation and the vast array of applications of the ® range of products.
With a plethora of certifications in hand (and more to come) FirePro systems is taking our business in the next level of expansion in more countries worldwide, amid an on going effort to enhance our brand image.

Another successful event for ® which leads the expansion of our business in two more countries and left quite a few interesting contacts. Our stand No 31 in Hall 2, which was a part of Cyprus Group, attracted the interest of safety engineers, constructors and people from the fire fighting business, were fascinated with the operation and applications of ® products.

® extinguished a fire in a server room of a sluice in Maasbracht, The Netherlands.The fire was caused by a short circuit in a video processor which processes the pictures of the cameras of the security system.
The fire was detected and extinguished in the very early stage preventing further spread. With the quick completion of the ® installation the sluice was ready for operation in a short period of time. More info

Two more fire incidents where ® performed successfully to extinguish and
prevent the spread of potentially hugely disastrous results. Both incidents happened at the “Carrefour” supermarket stores and enhanced once more the successful track record on extinguishing fires by FirePro. More info

KIWA N.V. Certification and Inspection Authority of the Netherlands, based on the tests as well as periodic factory inspections, have issued a renewed Product Certificate K21774/05 covering the full range of ®  models.
 Under the list of additional tested fluids, two more fuels have been tested and successfully extinguished by ®.

® fire extinguish systems were exhibited at the Intersec Middle East-Dubai form 21st to 24th of January 2007, as part of our efforts to further our presence in the Middle East and Arabian Gulf countries. The event was marked with success for firepro, with many interesting enquires to evaluate.

FirePro has been assessed by KIWA, Dutch Accreditation Body, as per relevant normative
documents and has been granted the  marking.
We wish to stress that most of the competitors in the aerosol technology, do not comply with the directives on CE marking. Therefore this achievement is an additional advantage of FirePro versus similar system.

® has been assessed and approved by the “Croatian Register of Shipping” of the Republic of Croatia, under the Rules for the Technical Supervision of Sea-Going Ships, Part 17 - Fire Protection; Rules for the Statutory Certification of Boats and Yachts.
This Marine Type Approval covers the following field of application / special operational limits:
Fire Extinguishing on: - Cargo Ships with GT less than 300
- Fishing vessels with a length up to 45 meters
- Yachts and boats

We wish to congratulate our Croatian distributor, D.B. Technic d.o.o. for their achievement in obtaining this prestigious approval.

A further important Marine Type Approval has been granted to ® from “The Head of the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate” and “The Inspector General Transport and Water management Inspectorate”.

The Approval allows FirePro Aerosol Fixed Fire Fighting Systems on vessel, in  machinery spaces, up to 500m³ net content.

® has moved Condensed Aerosol Technology products a step further. It has achieved a full Undewriters’ Laboratories (ULC) Listing for a range of its product line for 3 classes of fire namely: A as well as B,C. 

Underwiters’ Laboratories of Canada – ULC have examined and found that ® products comply with the applicable requirements of the Standard for Inert Gas Clean Agent Extinguishing System Units, UL 2127, in effect as of 14th June 2006, when designed and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s manual (s).

The above constitutes and provides decidedly confirmation of the highest standards incorporated in the ® products and justification of the hard work of the whole team at®.

® fire extinguishing systems were exhibited at the Intersec Exhibition - Dubai in January as part of our efforts to increase product awareness and expand in the Middle East and Arabian Gulf countries. The event exceeded all our expectations with key companies, organisations and government departments showing a very keen interest in our products and as a result it is expected that sales volumes in the countries of the Middle East and Gulf will increase sharply.

® Systems/ Celanova are proud to announce tha t® Fire Extinguishing Systems now have the seal of approval from the MCA on the basis of satisfactory performance during a series of trials devised to simulate typical fire scenarios that can occur in machinery spaces of small craft (similar to the protocols of IMO MSC 1007). A series of eight tests consisting of different fuels such as diesel, lube oil, wood crib in combination with open pool fires, hidden spray fires, hidden pool fires and wood crib fires (class A fire), were all successfully extinguished.

The MCA Certificate issued on 22 November 2005, is further testimony to the efficiency and reliability of ® Fire Extinguishing Systems.

The Interschutz Exhibition in Hannover, Germany (6th - 11th June) was a resounding success for FirePro. Our stand H53 in Hall 13 was one of the poles of attraction for visitors from all parts of the world. During the exhibition many enquiries were made for distributorship rights that are currently being evaluated by the company's management.

As both the RvA and UKAS are members of the European Cooperation for Accreditation for product certification means that UKAS and RvA recognise and promote the equivalence of each other's systems and of certificates and reports. Therefore, the "Product Certificate" issued by KIWA according to the KIWA Evaluation Guideline BRL-K23001/03 (2004-11-30) "Fixed fire extinguishing components based on dry condensed aerosols" is recognised by UKAS as equivalent to one issued by a UKAS accredited product
certification body.

In May 2005 our South African distributor FirePro Active sent this report to FirePro Systems Ltd HQ:

'An 11Kv breaker exploded in one of the Mittal Steel substations due to an electrical fault. The post explosion fire was immediately extinguished by the FirePro system installed in the panel and prevented further potential damage which could have been caused by the spread of fire.

According to the Chief Electrical Engineer of the plant the damage from fire in a previous similar incident was estimated at 27 million Rand. This time the damage was limited to the cleaning, painting of the panel and replacing of the breaker.... and most importantly the down time was kept to the bear minimum.

The FireProR team has just returned from the FireExpo 2005 (participating for the third time in a row) in Birmingham, England where it participated with an even larger than in previous occassions stand.

By all accounts it can be safely surmised that it has been the most successful showing yet at this event and this is testified by the unprecedented large number of quality visitors our stand received. As a result it is expected that our increasing network of distributors will be able to supply our products in more places around the world.

Following the fast and efficient extinguishing action in a compression chamber at a plastics factory at Heesch on 22nd March 2005, ® proved its ability and efficiency once again by fighting fire, this time in a house in Holland. >>read more

On 3rd May 2005, at approximately 06.00, a fire that could have developed into enormous proportions at the Dutch Flower Group at Honselerdijk was successfully suppressed and extinguished at its early stages by the timely functioning of the FireProR fire extinguishing system. This allowed the business to continue shortly after the incident.

The Kiwa Evaluation Guideline BRL-K23001/03 (2004-11-30), is the first specific EU National Standard issued by an EU Country on Condensed Aerosol Extinguishing Technologies, since untill today the testing reports/certifications issued through EU on aerosol technologies were based on the existing protocols for other extinguishing technologies for applications similar to those for aerosol.

The "Product Certificate" (in Europe the equivalent term is Approval and the corresponding term in the U.S is Listing) issued by Kiwa is held under the MLA (Multilateral Recognition Agreement) connected to ILAC-MRA and the EA (European co-operation for Accreditation) shall be formally accepted by the EU, American, African, Far East and Australia all signatories to the MLA Agreement
