® acts to extinguish one more industrial fire.

On 3rd May 2005, at approximately 06.00, a fire that could have developed into enormous proportions at the Dutch Flower Group at Honselerdijk was successfully suppressed and extinguished at its early stages by the timely functioning of the ® fire extinguishing system. This allowed the business to continue shortly after the incident.

Confidence in ® rewarded once more

® extinguished an incipient fire preventing it from developing into a much larger fire that may have caused several millions of Euros of damages. At the complex concerned, 14 companies are located and where about 750 people work.

Compressor chamber after extinguishing The fire started in a plant room (volume approx. 750m³), responsible for the temperature control of 48.000m² of space for handling the flowers and plants. The fire was possibly caused by an oil leak in combination with an overheated compressor. The ® timely action extinguished and prevented the spread of fire.

“The damage caused by the fire, because of Mother’s Day business, would have been incalculable” stated Brigitte van Leeuwen, the Facility Manager at Intergreen bv.
