FirePro prevents a potentially catastrophic domestic fire, highlighting the fire risks in the home.

® prevents a potentially catastrophic domestic fire.

Following the fast and efficient extinguishing action in a compression chamber at a plastics factory at Heesch on 22nd March 2005, ® proved its ability and efficiency once again by fighting fire this time in a house in Holland. The fire on 26th April 2005 started in the transformer of an electrical installation in a private home whilst its occupants were unaware of the potential danger. ®, not only extinguished the fire within seconds was but it also very importantly prevented its spread that could have led to disastrous results.

® prevents fire expansion again

On 26th April 2005® again extinguished a fire, this time in a patch cabinet.

A short-circuit in the transformer of an electrical installation occurred and the resulting high temperature caused the plastic housing to melt and ultimately catch fire. The high temperature set-off the detection and activation system bringing FirePro® into action.

The ensuing fire was extinguished within a few seconds.

Patch cabinets, have proven to contain possible ignition sources and therefore are potential fire risks for private homes as well as offices, shops and factories. The above incident highlights the importance of installing fire safety measures in such risk sources and ® has shown its applicability and effectiveness in the most appropriate way
