Calculating the necessary quantity required

Strictly controlled experiments have shown that 25-35gr of the material in ® Fire Extinguishing Aerosol Generators is required to protect 1m³.

However, in the method of calculation of the quantity required, account is taken of the real life factors encountered.

The use of certain co-efficients invariably results in an increase in the quantity necessary for fire extinguishing purposes.

M = V x K₀ x K₁ x K₂ x K₃ x K₄ x q

where:
M = Net weight of extinguishing material
V = Gross volume protected (m3)
K₀ = Class of fire: A=1, B=0,5, C=0,75, E=1.3
K₁ = Uniformity of dispersion coefficient
K₂ = Loss of aerosol coefficient
K₃ = Plant safety coefficient
K₄ = Time of volume inert-condition
q = Extinguishing unit’s efficiency coefficient
